Project Description

The project entailed designing a residential design for a client, fulfilling their needs and creating renderings of the envisioned spaces. The client was to receive the complete set of CAD drawings, furniture selections, hand renders and software generated renders. A final presentation was given to the client. Gonzalo and Belinda Palacios are a young influencer couple with a very notable presence in the Online fitness scene. Because of the nature of their business, they spend a majority of their time working from home. The goal of the design was to inject the home space with vibrant energy though the use of dramatic hues, loud textures, unconventional shapes and natural finishes. The couple requested a fusion of eclectic, contemporary and rustic decor.

Hand Rendered Floor Plan

The hand rendered space entails my preliminary design concept for the kitchen and living room. The home was not large enough to accommodate a traditional dining setting, and a peninsula island was incorporated. The initial color scheme also included hues of green, which was later omitted and kept only in plants and the scenic environment. This render was for concept purposes only, and the final design was tailored to what is showcased in the walkthrough. The yellow electric kitchen was the highlight for the space, and it established a whimsical yet upscale feel to the overall living space design.
